Valve Refurbishment
Valve refurbishment refers to the process of restoring or renewing industrial valves to their optimal working condition. Valves are essential components used in various industries, including oil and gas, power generation, manufacturing, and water treatment. Over time, valves can become worn out, damaged, or inefficient due to factors such as wear and tear, corrosion, or operational issues. Refurbishing valves can help extend their lifespan, improve performance, and ensure reliable and safe operation.
Servtech Technical Services LLC brings valve assemblies to our shops for inspection, testing, and full repairs. Our refurbishment capabilities allow us to quickly service what is needed to repair the valve and actuator in a timely manner while keeping costs down. We can also upgrade valve assemblies with new actuators and positioners to return the best possible product to our customers.
Safety Valve Repair and Testing
Servtech Technical Services LLC ensures optimal conditions for your safety valves by possessing the necessary knowledge and understanding of flow and pressure dynamics. Our expert technicians specialize in testing, repairing, and setting your safety valves to precise specifications. We serve as your trusted knowledge partner, evaluating the condition of each valve and providing recommendations for informed decision-making.
Testing Steps
- Pre-test: The valve is mounted on a test bench with its performance recorded.
- Disassemble: The valve is stripped down to component form.
- Inspection: All components are inspected and their condition is recorded.
- Overhaul: Components are cleaned to ensure free movement, with seat and disc lapping as required.
- Reassemble: The valve is reassembled and rebuilt.
- Set and Test: The valve is set to the appropriate pressure; applicable bubble and back-pressure tests are carried out to API and ASME standards.
- Protection: Inlet and outlet ports are protected for shipping.
- Certification & Report: A certified test certificate, metal tag and findings report are furnished to the customer.
